Cindy Maples-Abidi

Cindy Maples-Abidi has been working in the nuclear power industry for more than 25 years.  She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Tennessee. The majority of her career was spent at Watts Bar Nuclear Plant in the United States, where she was the Equipment Qualification (EQ) Program Owner. During her time there, she successfully managed an NRC Design Basis Assurance Inspection that looked at the program with a level of detail not seen in decades. In 2024, Cindy transitioned to the Netherlands to focus on long-term operation and ageing management with NRG PALLAS. Having spent the last 18 years focused on EQ, she now uses this hands-on utility experience to help plants navigate the documentation and technical challenges of life extension as a consultant.
