Joeri Tober

Joeri Tober really enjoys his position at TU Delft Reactor Institute as a reactor engineer for 5 years now. He completed his studies in Delft: a double bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Aerospace engineering, and a master’s in Energy & process technology. He also completed electives on Nuclear reactor physics in Delft and Nuclear thermo-hydraulics at KAIST, South-Korea, during an exchange. During his time at the Reactor Institute he has completed the radiation protection course at the level of Radiation protection expert.

At work he is a typical engineer operating at the crossroads of theory and practice. He is responsible for the implementation of a new asset management system. Also, he has spent a significant amount of time on the statistical analysis of beam tube corrosion. The more practical projects he coordinated include commissioning of several mechanical replacements (piping, pumps, valves) and execution of unique radioactive waste disposal.
